SPRING AWAKENING achieved cult status by giving powerful voice and glorious dance to teenagers rebelling against a cruel and repressive society. With music by Grammy Award winner Duncan Sheik, this Tony Award-winning musical energetically pushes modern teen angst against the backdrop of an 1891 German school. Based on a controversial 19th-Century play, Spring Awakening features a contemporary folk-rock score to express the essence of adolescence.
